Bon Odori UMS 2013

久しぶりでした!
It's really have been a very long time for not updating my blog :x
Suddenly my "blogging-feeling" just come back to me xD
so I guess my english will sounds like very poor or banana or papaya,lol
But the main point is not my english, is the content of blog right? haha
So, for such a "long time no see" blogging,
ima (means now) wanted to share something interesting
just happened on 2 days ago (30th November 2013) :)

Every year around the end of October, there must be a Japan's festival called "Bon Odori" will be held at my university x)
Every year during this event, the most enjoyable moment is to dance the "Bon dance"
because it's very simple and easy to follow, as well as fun,
 so everyone will always gather in a big circle surrounding the stage to dance together :D
 It's truly very enjoyable and you will shout for 1 more, 2 more, 3 more or 100 more xDDD just to keep on repeating the dance xD
However, I've danced it when I was a volunteer ajk during my first year,
so for 2 years of this festival......
 I only watched people dance xD
But well, this year,they seems like added a new song and dance!
Got the news that they created the dance themselves, quite nice and not bad :D
 especially the hand pose of pointing to the sky,lol! xDDD

Again this year, is my "cosplayer hunt" xD
Compared to last year 2012's Bon Odori,
this year there were a lots of cosplayer :D wow!
Lots of people kept on asking them to take photo with them, so they were really "a little" busy xD
I really would like to take their solo pictures which they put up lots of the original character's pose or personality like those official cosplay photos, but...
ya....I just can't take pretty photos when the background was really not match,
lots of people pushing here and there,
plus these people wanted to rampas my models  =_=
(and I also went to rampas one by one from them,lol )
or maybe, I don't have a good camera
OR I just don't have the skill? (But I have a good editing skill,maybe? xD)

Cosplayers dancing Bon dance xDD

 Found a female Luffy from One Piece and Jigoku no Shoujo's Enma?
Based on the costume she wore and hair styles, I guess 60% is Enma!
 (I'm not a confident person, so I lowered my perspective,lol)
The character from the left, if not mistaken is from a new comics of story,
but not sure about the name ==;
I managed to recognize this character is because my man (cough) I mean favourite cosplayer cosplayed that character before,haha  ^^;
next to this lady or young man (my intuition told me 65% is a she! aha xD) was a miko (Japanese: witch) and a character of Inu x Boku Shikuretto Saabisu?
but why carried Nyanko sensei from Yuujinchou? ^^;
Well, as a mini conclusion, I never read those manga which they cosplayed ^^;
(But at least I recognize them! xD)
 Naruto Shippuden! \(^w^)
please perform more kage no bunshin to help me to rampas my cosplayer models from the crowd xD
 Green's hair...hmmm...MY INTUITION (again!) told me is vocaloid GUMI :)
As for the person next to GUMI,looks quite familiar for the dressing but I have no idea xDDD
 Ya, this cosplayer know how to pose! that's the spirit! xD (been beaten up)
 I like the green-hair cosplayer's cosplay, but she is so skinny! ><
 look at those bonny legs... (looking down at my own legs,uhh)
Those green hair wig always remind me of vocaloid GUMI,
but I guess she was also cosplaying's vocaloid by looking at the patterns drawn on her face,
 but I was just so outdated that I really have not much idea about what character was she cosplaying including the one beside her (sorry...)
 Left: Kirito from SAO, a pokemon! xD Vocaloid Hatsune Miku and...hey, that looks like Gareki from Karneval :x

 They really put up lots of effort on their costume ^^;
 Always found a neko maid walking here and there
which I have to run up and down to find her and ask for her solo xD
 Wow, a very powerful female cosplay character :O
she is good in posing and give a powerful feeling (thumbs up)
 Again, MY INTUITION xDD
told me somewhat this girl was cosplaying vocaloid character of Senbonzakura's song :DD Senbonzakura really have nice costumes and appearance which lots of cosplayer prefer to cosplay as well
 I personally like Miku and Kagamine Len's character more ><
 Another Hatsune Miku!
She is pretty and there was a soft atmosphere around her "sniff sniff" (kena tampar)
Seems like she is quite japanese-style by looking the way how she carried her little bag on her hand just like those japanese lady carries their bag when they go for festival or matsuri :)

 Even Doraemon was here!
She asked me whether do I want to take photo with her or not?
 But sadly I rejected her
(I guess my camera's lens will break if I enter into the screen,lol)
Keep on finding anyone cosplay my favourite's manga and anime: Shingeki no Kyojin
aka Attack of Titan,
but for more than 1 hour, I didn't find any and feel quite disspaointed :(
Such a famous anime, there should be someone cosplaying that!
But my wish was granted xD
Finally found one!
I guess she was cosplaying her own character but in SNK's costume
or in another word
self-design cosplay? ^^?
Also spot a Mikasa but she was not in her full attire :(

 Perasmian Bon Odori :)
 Aside from Bon dance, cosplay, there were also lots of game booths and some introduction of Japan's booth
For instance, the picture above and below xD was showing those toys that were played by the young during the old times
I found that their toys are just a little "high technique" which is not easy to "win"
(lol, kids always thinking of winning when comes to games I guess)
which make me have a thought that is this one of the reasons which make them,the Japanese different from us in term of intelligence?
They played toys which required some brain thinking as compared to my babee dolls ^^;
(well,I did played lots of different chess when I was young, but I always ended up losing =x=;)

 This toy really required skills! ><
 Lots of game booths at the event, like using big chopsticks to grab guli or marbles,
using paper stick to grab water balloon ect.
(not much interested in playing games simply because I will always end up losing ^^; )
 Picture above was a game of trying to paste the donkey's tail at the right position :)
but the ajk somehow doesn't know that the position of the tail was quite easy to spot out...
just on top the folded line... ^^;
(wondered how many people have win this game?haha)
 Spotted lots of Japanese young kids! :D
 They were cute and tiny xD
wonder how do they think about Malaysia's Bon Odori as compared to their own country's?
But they were born in Malaysia isn't it?
 So do they really know how is Bon Odori of Japan looks like? :/
 That girl with spec was like an aunty bargaining for price xD
 Spotted another cutie running up and down following her daddy x)
So tiny and little standing beside her father!
 I bet she was thinking why we these weird people keep on taking hers and the others photos like seeing a rare animals in the zoo...
haha ^^; but they are really cute :)
 Of course,Bon Odori should not held without food stalls :D
This year, there was a maid cafe :))
But it was not the usual black and white black dress we always see :(
Is still interesting though :)
I didn't or mostly will not buy foods from the stalls,
mostly because the foods are just too cold (cough) to be eat :x
My friend still said that there should be microwave+sss
at the food stalls to heat up the food in a fast speed ^^;
I shall called that as "occupational disease" as a food student xDD
and I have a little of that as well =x=;(I admit)
 cute blue maid :)
 Spotted a flying "creature" above the crowd xD

The circle of the dance was getting bigger and bigger,
many people have involved themselves into the Bon dance :D

Besides that, Japanese songs were also performed as well
but just one or two songs only :(
They sang very nice especially the one who sang "Firs Love"
heard from my friend said that the performer was from our faculty
and she was our junior
oh gosh :/
should have a mini concert like kyanime's
especially when there are crowds of people!
I bet the crowd will be very high if there is a mini concert
where singers perform singing!
A band could even be invited to perform as well :D

 As always,
there were always performance of Japan's martial arts like Kendou, Shorenji Kempo ect
I guess it would be much more interesting if the Kendou's wear full attire (included the hat and armors and so on) to perform in true...
but maybe it is just not convenient? as the armors are quite heavy? :/

President of JCC of my university :D
That night she was such as pretie :D
really wanted to take a nice photo of her but I failed ;_;
hopefully this level of photo taking is still acceptable ^^;

Honestly to say...(should be sorry to say :x )
although I understand that a big event is not an easy task and process to run,somehow have a feel that this year Bon Odori was not as fun as previous years :(
felt a little "empty"...
However, sometimes is not the club's problem I guess,
the cause could be pointed to the top authority who mostly like to give answer during the last minutes which force the club have to arrange activities in rush ^^#
(And I hate those "last minutes" confirmation the most which always make me work like horse and cow for them ^^### )
Really, they just have to change their attitude for the student's peace  :)
Hope to see more and more fun programs or booth set up for the next Bon Odori  :)
And maybe I should Bon dance when that day comes
as for my last matsuri :')
